tuesday. in florida, they're holding their primary two weeks from now. we have breaking news in that joe biden won virginia and we just got word he won north carolina. let's look at the big picture here. it looks like the national democratic committee said tom steyer, amy klobuchar, pete buttigieg, you're out. thank you. we've got to put the support behind joe. >> that would make a good hollywood scene. the problem is you really don't have a democratic national committee that's powerful enough to do what you talked about. those days are gone. that's one of the reasons bernie sanders is doing so well. but there's no denying there's a split within the democratic party. you have the establishment and

the inspirationals of the bernie movement. that's the tug-of-war you're seeing. what you're seeing is more traditional style democrats like pete buttigieg and amy klobuchar. they're saying we don't necessarily have the votes to make a difference. joe biden, we know you. you can. the reasons why they're doing it is that bernie sanders says it. it's more than an election for him and his troops. this is a movement. it's a change of america fundamentally how it operates. that scares the democrats who say, we have to run in that same election. you can win the white house if you get the biggest turnout, but what about us in the congress, the senate, do we lose? they're not going with the bern. they're staying with bide snoon one of the things that's interesting is when you look at the ages of candidates including president trump, everyone is in

's your old college professor that one you kind of like but maybe passed but told it like it is. the other thing is he has a great organization out there. he's pushing issues that connect with young people. health care for all. if you're trying to get a job with health care, it's tough for young people. eliminating college debt. things like that sell well with the younger crowd and they see him as sort of an icon. that's something biden is more -- one step at a sometime, that's not going to happen. that's a different demographic,
4:36 pm
but he's getting younger voters too. >> what do you expect today? >> does the bernie surge continue? we're starting to see the brakes tapped on. he's still going to probably have more delegates than anybody el. what happens in california is key. the question is does bernie continue the surge and momentum? does biden bounce in, and does warren stay in and bloomberg stay in after tonight? and we won't know until it rolls into california. you'd better stay tuned. going to be a night. >> local measures, how do you see it going. >> history indicates they're doing well. we will see. there's a big bonlt on the state ball ballot. we'll see what the appetite is this time. it's sort of been overcast by this presidential primary, so we're going to see a lot of the turnout. we'll see what the turnout is. everything is still up in the air. i'd like to give you the answers right now, and then we would. have a game, right.
